Tole painting - Tole painting is the folk art of decorative painting of tin or other metal objects, such as utensils, coffeepots, and similar household items.

Heimrad Prem - Heimrad Prem (born 1934) is a German painter born in Roding, Oberpfalz. From 1949 - 1952 he studied decorative painting at Schwandorf and then studied painting with Josef Oberberger and sculpture with Toni Stadler at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Munich until 1956.

Painterwork - Painterwork accomplishes two things, namely the preservation and the coloration of the material painted. The compounds used for painting, taking the word as meaning a thin protective or decorative coat, are very numerous, including oil-paint of many kinds, distemper, whitewash, tar; but the word paint is usually confined to a mixture of oil and pigment, together with other materials which possess properties necessary to enable the paint to dry hard and opaque.

Sienese School - The Sienese School of painting flourished in Siena,Italy between the 13th and 15th centuries and for a time rivalled Florence, though it was more conservative, being inclined towards the decorative beauty and elegant grace of late Gothic art. Its most important representatives include Duccio, whose work shows Byzantine influence; his pupil Simone Martini; Pietro and Ambrogio Lorenzetti; Domenico and Taddeo di Bartolo; Sassetta and Matteo di Giovanni.
